Custom Orthotics

Orthotics are custom made inserts that comfortably fit into shoes or sandals. They are designed to support and improve the functioning of feet, and help re-establish normal mechanics for the feet, ankles, knees, hips and spine. Orthotics are prescribed to patients suffering from chronic foot, lower limb and low back problems or to athletes to help maximize performance during sport. They are often beneficial in the prevention of osteoarthritis of the knees and hips.

The doctors at LiveWell have been developing orthotics in the community for a combined 20 years. The doctors have specialized training in the biomechanics of the foot and take special care in diagnosing any problems you may have. Our orthotics examination involves an analysis of your gait, thorough evaluation of the biomechanics of the lower extremities and finally traditional casting. This procedure allows us to fashion a truly "custom orthotic" to address each patients specific foot problems and/or needs. We also offer a large variety of brand name shoes (including New Balance, Rockport, Naot) with an incorporated orthotic.
