Dr. Sabrina Bercovitch, BSc, DCIn 1988, as a student, Dr. Sabrina’s life changed when she sought the help of a chiropractor for severe shoulder and neck discomfort. Regular headaches and tension in her upper body disappeared, while energy and vitality returned. Two years later, an avid tennis player, Dr. Sabrina injured her right knee and once again, with the help of her chiropractor, she was able to regain her mobility and strength. In 1994 Dr. Sabrina obtained her Honours BSc in Microbiology, and in 1988, she graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Jason Bercovitch, DCWhile studying for a BSc Honours at McGill University, Dr. Jason Bercovitch suffered from debilitating low back pain. Months of medical visits, rehabilitation and pain medication did little to relief the discomfort. Out of desperation, he finally sought the care of a chiropractor. The care he received not only relieved his pain but dramatically improved his life-long battle with asthma, allergies and chest infections. This life-changing experience inspired Dr. Jason to help others who suffered like himself. The following year, he enrolled in the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Upon graduation in 1999, he and his wife Dr. Sabrina, moved to Ottawa to work as associate chiropractors which ultimately led to the opening of LiveWell Family Health Centre in 2004. Dr. Jason is caring, compassionate and a model of integrity to his family, patients and community. He is commonly regarded as one of the top practioners in the city.
Dana Alexander, Office ManagerI studied Journalism at Humber College in Toronto and moved to Ottawa two years ago after visiting this city and falling in love with it’s atmosphere and small town feel. I have a background in writing and marketing and after working in Public Relations for a wellness centre I soon realized the benefits of chiropractic and other natural health treatments, leading me to my position as Office Manager with LiveWell Family Health Centre. Benefiting from chiropractic and massage myself makes it that much easier to promote the Centre through our Public Relations initiatives and through our community events.
Sarah Duncan, RMTMassage therapy has been a passion of mine for a long time and for many reasons. When I was young my parents would always give my sisters and I little massages on our neck and shoulders and I always LOVED them. When I was about 13 years old I learned about massage therapy and immediately felt as though I had found my passion- to help people feel better. It wasn’t until my father passed away that I realized how important it is to pursue your dreams, so I did. I graduated from Algonquin College in 2004 and have been practicing in the Ottawa area for most of my career. I enjoy incorporating the use of hot stones into all of my treatments which I find gives even the deepest of treatments a very relaxing feel. I specialize mostly in therapeutic massage- chronic pain, deep tissue, acute injuries, pregnancy massage and working with children.

Shannon Goodwin Birch, BA, RCN, RNCPAfter months of happy anticipation, Shannon discovered that motherhood came with its own level of challenge. Though her degree in Psychology and Sociology gave her a good understanding of human behaviour, she wasn’t quite prepared for excessive stubborn pregnancy weight and months of post partum depression. Her quest for mental wellness and physical fitness led her down the path of food and nutrition. After two years of gradually integrating healthy choices into her lifestyle she began earning her diploma in natural nutrition in 2002. By June of 2004 she had achieved a diploma with merit from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, and was accepted, in January 2005, into the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. A happily married mother of two, Shannon ’s favourite nutrition topics continue to be healthy weight maintenance, mental wellness and practical family nutrition.
